Do I need a water softener?
Only if your water is hard enough to cause problems, and the only way to know is to test it. WaterGuard's free hard water test measures hardness and chlorine at your tap. If they're high, a whole-home softening and filtration package fixes it. If they aren't, we tell you that too.
Which package do I need?
It depends on your water, and the free test shows which one fits. Essential softens and filters the water at every tap. Complete adds the Forever Pre-Filter for sediment. Ultimate adds a Maytag reverse osmosis drinking water system at the kitchen sink, a leak detection system, and a water heater flush.
How much does a water softener cost?
WaterGuard's whole-home softening and filtration packages are $4,900 (Essential), $5,400 (Complete), and $7,400 (Ultimate) cash or check, or $49, $57, or $79 a month with approved financing. The lender sets final terms. Pricing as quoted, October 2026.
What does the Fixed-For-Good Guarantee cover?
If anything we installed isn't right, we come back and fix it for free. If an issue listed in your proposal comes back, we fix it.
How long does a softener install take?
One day. Our own plumbers install the system, handle the plumbing and electrical, check that everything works, and walk you through it before they leave.
